Boeing 747 To Be Jumbo Stay Hostel

Sleep on the plane in flight, it is common. At Arlanda Airport, Sweden, Passenger  can actually spend the night in the Boeing 747 with a comfortable mattress and sleeping at the cockpit. This is the Jumbo Stay hostel is a Boeing 747! 

There were a Boeing 747 arked at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. The aircraft has a full section, both from the cockpit to the tail. Who would have thought, actually this is the hostel for  staying traveler. 

The story , Boeing 747-200 jumbo jet was made in 1976. This aircraft was operated carrying passengers and it was last used by the airline Transjet in 2002. After a Swedish airline that went bankrupt, the plane just unused at Arlanda Airport. 

If we take look at Jumbo Stay official website on Wednesday 22, January 2014,  a businessman named Oscar Dios is interested in buying the aircraft in 2008. Oscar afford not to fly, but to make it stay! 

Oscar itself was interested in buying his plane in 2006. He did have a crazy idea to create a unique lodging and unusual. Finally, he actually did when buying the Boeing 747. 

After obtaining permission from the airport to make it as a hostel, Oscar immediately renovated the 747 possessed a large scale. 450 passenger seats removed and made a few indoor rooms. He unpacked interiors unused, provide new paint, and justifies the heating and ventilation ducts. Oscar inaugurated at the same time as the Jumbo Stay hostel opened in 2009. 

Looked outside, Jumbo Stay is still the 747 in general. Once entering the inside through the entrance section of the fuselage or wing was made to be  passing into the ladder, you'll be amazed by the variety of room in there. 

Totally, there were  8 types of rooms at Jumbo Stay this. The most expensive room is the Cockpit Suite at a price of SEK 3,300. As the name implies, this room offers sleeping in the aircraft cockpit. In front of the mattress, there were many buttons that were  often used pilots to fly the plane. This room was  also equipped with a TV, WiFi, and a bathroom with shower. 

The cheapest price is Dorm Bed with SEK 350. The rooms are small in size and has two levels of beds. Even so, there were  flat-screen TV and WiFi. In it there was  any plane of glass that allows you to see the view outside. 

Fun, free WiFi available in the plane. Breakfast will be delivered to the room, but if you want to relax chili reading the paper, you can walk into a mini cafe there. 



The hotel clerk Jumbo Stay also dress up as a flight attendant. With friendly and full of smiles, they were ready to assist guests if needed. If it landed at Arlanda airport, do not forget to spend the night in the Boeing 747.
